Inspection Minneapolis, MN

Our Home Inspections are based on a 400-point computer generated program that covers all aspects of the home from roof to foundation.  We like to have you present for the entire inspection if possible, so that you can ask questions and we can explain things as we go through the house.

  • We start on the roof, verifying that the materials are in good condition
  • We walk around the exterior with you, looking at siding, windows, foundation, lot grade, fences, retaining wall, sidewalks, driveways, etc.
  • We check the garage for wiring, door openers and fire wall barriers
  • We also like to give you life expectancies, and repair & replacement costs on items in the home
  • We test for carbon monoxide of the furnace and water heater
  • We analyze moisture issues with our moisture meters throughout the house
  • We check the plumbing for proper water pressure, flow and past/present leaking
  • We remove the electrical panel if possible, and verify that everything is safely wired
  • We go through each room in the home checking outlets, windows, doors and for structural concerns/damage
  • We look in the attic for proper ventilation, insulation and past/present leaking

Finally, we print the computer generated report and color digital photos for you right there on site and present it to you in a 3-ring binder which also includes a 200 page handyman book, discount coupons and a seasonal maintenance checklist.  We will also email the report to your agent at no extra cost.

We have 15 years of experience and have performed over 45,000 inspections as a company.  All of our inspectors are certified at our corporate office in Memphis which is required for being covered under E&O insurance.  We also provide workman’s compensation insurance for all of our inspectors.  FYI, there are no licensing requirements in MN for home inspectors, so basically anyone can call themselves an inspector, and they are not required to have insurance.  We have 5, full-time, salaried inspectors, so scheduling is not a problem (we perform inspections on Saturdays at no extra charge)
